Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on Monday stormed, Abakaliki the Ebonyi state capital where he was welcomed by a mammoth crowd.

Mr Kanu who is facing charges of treason brought against him by the Nigerian government, made his first visit to the state as residents thronged his convoy.

Prisca Chiamaka Abel, a Biafra writers reporter shared videos of Nnamdi Kanu in Ebonyi with the caption:

"It all happened in Ebonyi state on 24th july 2017 where Dave Umahi the Ebonyi state Governor challenged our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that if he steps his foot in Ebonyi state that he will consider himself disgraced and our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu proved to him that he is indeed a true and undefeatable leader"

A mild drama however played out when the Nigerian army tried to barricade the road. Nnamdi Kanu, as seen in a trending video shared online, stepped out of his car and walked with his supporters while they chanted solidarity songs.
