Manchester Suicide Bomber's Name is Salman Abedi, A 22-Year Old Man

A 22-year-old man, Salman Abedi has been identified as the person allegedly behind the dreaded attack on Manchester Arena on Monday May 22, 2017.

The suspect who was believed to have attacked the arena alone. He was strapped with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which he detonated and killed 22 people, injured 59 others.

US officials who have been in contact with the UK police said the suspect travelled from London to Manchester by train.

Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins in a new statement said "This has been the most horrific incident we have had to face in Greater Manchester and one that we all hope we would never see".

The police had arrested a 23-year-old man in Southern Manchester, believed to have been connected to the attacks.

Queen Elizabeth also said in a statement that the whole nation has been 'shocked' by the death and injury of people in manchester last night, adding that the incident was an act of 'barbarity'.
