Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe Flies To Singapore Over Health Issues --- Like Buhari

The President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has left his country for fresh "health check-ups" in Singapore, just a day after Nigeria's Buhari returned to London on health grounds.

Top government sources told NewsDay that the 93-year-old traveled for his normal medical "routine check-up", a habit said to have become part of him.

A source told the online publication that the President traveled to Singapore for his usual medicals, adding that he may come back on Friday or Saturday.

The country's information minister, Christopher Mushowe while confirming the development, said Mugabe traveled on 'private business'.

Robert Mugabe has been the first and only president of Zimbabwe for over 37 years after the country gained its independence from Britain.
