Did American Singer Pia Mia Just Steal Phyno's Song "I'm a fan" As Her Own?... LISTEN

Nigerian netizens are currently boiling in anger over American Singer, Pia Mia's alleged theft of Phyno's "I'm a fan".

Phyno released "I'm a fan" in 2016 featuring Mr. Eazi and Decarlo under his album The Playmaker with some other hit songs like "Fada Fada".

And while we were busy browsing through the web, interacting on Social Media, some Nigerians came across Pia Mia's "I'm a fan" which was released in May 2017 and were shocked to see how it sounded the same!

What? It's not even a cover of Phyno's song neither does he even know who Pia Mia is.. and more importantly, her own version is booming on Youtube better than Phyno's own did.

According to a report by Pulse, Reno the hitmaker who produced Pia's version had initially sent the song to Phyno sometime last year, "but something happened and we couldn’t use it", a source told Pulse.

Phyno liked the idea of the sound, so he sought the help of producer Benjamz, who reconstructed the single, and brought on Mr Eazi and Decarlo to collaborate and release the record, the report said.
