South African Champion of Positivity, Ontlametse Phalatse Dies After Celebrating 18th Birthday

Ontlametse Phalatse, a South African girl suffering from a rare disease called Progeria has died.

Progeria is a genetic disorder which causes an unexpected and rapid aging. 

Ontlametse, while she was alive said doctors told her that she would not live beyond 14 years of age, but she recently celebrated her 18th birthday and fulfilled her wish of meeting her country's president, Jacob Zuma.

eNCA reports that Ontlametse died at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa Pretoria on Tuesday night.
