"I didn't Say Buhari Will Be Working From Home Forever" - Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has clarified his statement on President Buhari's absence from the federal Executive council meeting on Wednesday.

Lai Mohammed had told state house correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting the President Buhari had ordered that all the files on his table be brought to his residence at the presidential villa, stating that the president will now work from home.

But in a statement issued in Abuja by his special adviser, Segun Adeyemi, the Minister said the President only decided to work from home for that day, not that he has decided to work from home henceforth.

He said the headlines in a section of the media, ''Buhari to now work from home - Lai Mohammed,'' was an erroneous report of his statement at the briefing.

Quoting verbatim the relevant section of his briefing, Alhaji Mohammed said: ''The President wanted to rest today and he asked the VP to preside over today's meeting. In addition, he also asked that all his files be taken home to him and he will be working from home today'
