Two Young Robbers Arrested In Ogun State

The Ogun State Police have arrested two young armed robbers, Adigun John and Idowu Kalejaye.

According to a statement released by the Police PRO, Ogun state command, Abimbola Opeyemi, the duo were were arrested on the 23rd Of March following a distress call received by policemen attached to Ogijo Divisional Headquarters that a robbery operation was going on at a bakery in Eyita area.

The DPO, SP Tijani Muhammad then led his Anti-robbery team to the scene and engaged the robbers in shoot out.

At the end of the encounter, the two suspects were arrested one locally made cut to size gun was recovered from them.

The suspects robbed off the bakery owner, one Taiwo Ogunyemi, the sum of two thousand naira and a Nokia handset, and a customer, one Bose Agboola, the sum of fifteen thousand naira.

The commissioner of police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu has since ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to FSARS for discreet investigation.
