JAMB/UTME Now Allows Only One Public University Choice for 2017/18 candidates


The Joint Admissions and Matriculations board (JAMB) has revealed that students can no longer choose two public universities during registration. The board made this known via its twitter handle.

It noted that a student is allowed to select a private university as another choice if the candidate selects a "public university as a degree awarding choice". See the notice below;



The examination board also stressed the following;

Candidates can select IEI as their choices up-to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice

Candidates can select IEI as their choices up-to 4 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice and 4th choice

Candidates can select ND as their choices up to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice.

Candidates can select NCE as their choices up to 3 times i.e. 1st choice, 2nd choice and 3rd choice

But they are not allowed to select two public Universities as choices
